Polo on the Beach
We don’t do donkeys - we do do polo ponies! Join an excited crowd of spectators as they cheer each chukka of this centuries old sport, magically relocated to Watergate Bay, Newquay. With amazing skills, riders and mounts manoeuvre and bump their way to win the very special Polo on the Beach annual challenge.
Run To The Sun
From the M4 corridor to Newquay’s cliff tops - enjoy the ride with dedicated VW enthusiasts as they Run to the Sun. Where else does car, dance, beach and festival merge to spark the energy that makes this weekend so outstanding Tregunnel Car Park, May 30 - see the shiny and modified gather in RttS’s time-honoured way. Newquay Fish Festival
Join throngs of visitors from far and wide to experience Newquay’s fantastic three-day Fish Festival, held annually in autumn sunshine, on the town’s historic and picturesque Harbour. Thrill seekers who love the buzz of water sports but don’t want to get their hair wet should head for Fistral beach and be stunned by this fast growing sport - Zapcat racing. Amazingly agile craft challenge each other, at breakneck speeds, in pursuit of victory. To call these events exhilarating is an understatement!
